Bodywork at TriCore Health & Wellness

What is a bodyworker?

A bodyworker focuses on treating the body and mind through a variety of different techniques to promote relaxation. This type of massage has a holistic approach to the body.

What does a bodyworker do?

Our body workers focus on massage for general relaxation for the body and mind. They promote healing through revitalization and relaxation by increasing circulation and reducing stress levels. They use a variety of techniques based on Swedish massage to increase circulation in the soft tissues of the body.

What is expected during a session with a bodyworker?

Your massage will take place in a warm, comfortable room with soft music playing to help you relax. Our bodyworker will check in with you to make sure you are comfortable.

Do I get undressed for my massage?

Most massage techniques are performed with the client undressed, however you may decide on what the comfortable amount of clothing you prefer. It is important you are relaxed and comfortable during the massage. Our bodyworker will use proper draping techniques and will leave the room to allow you to disrobe and get relaxed on the table.

What is Hot Stone massage?

Some of our bodyworkers have experience with hot stone massage. A specific Hot Stone massage course has been taken by our staff who provide hot stone massage. This massage technique helps circulation and promotes relaxation with the added heat. The bodyworker uses the stones to massage the body.

Barrie Lynch

Bodywork / Non-RMT Massage

Barrie Lynch started his massage training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy focussing on massage for general relaxation. These general relaxation techniques are based on Swedish massage and are designed to increase circulation in the soft tissues of the body.

He continued his training by adding the hot stone technique to his sessions. Hot stone massage helps melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism. Hot stones, when coupled with massage, also help to expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body.

Barrie started his career in healthcare as a licensed emergency paramedic working with the BC Ambulance Service and provides a fusion of these massage techniques to relieve stress while promoting health and wellness.
